Phase inspections are the primary scheduled maintenance program for most business jets (Falcon, Learjet, Hawker, etc.). They are divided into phases (1 through 4 or 5 depending on the aircraft), each covering specific systems. On average, each phase occurs every 200–400 flight hours, and a full cycle completes roughly every 800–1,600 hours. All phases together equal a complete structural and systems inspection of the aircraft.

A C-Check (also called a Heavy Maintenance Visit or HMV) is a deep-dive structural and systems inspection typically required every 4–6 years or 6,000–10,000 flight hours, depending on the aircraft type.
